DNA Testing or Detection
Dr. Bennett has provided hundreds DNA tests and Expert consultation for Criminal cases, Family Court, Probate Court, Military Court Martials, and Immigration. Dr. Bennett has performed over 700 DNA tests through his practice.
DNA Testing is to determine biological (genetic) relationships, and is mostly used for Paternity, Grandpaternity, Siblingship, other genetic relationships. DNA Testing can also be used for DNA Ancestry testing (determination of racial mix). DNA can also be collected and stored for Estates (to determine if someone is entitled to part of an inheritance).
DNA Detection is used to extract DNA from an item in order to identify a person has has come into contact with the item. Examples are, extracting DNA from underwear to prove infidelity, extracting DNA from stolen items to identify the thief, extracting DNA from a steering wheel to determine the driver of the car, determine who drank out of a soda can, smoked a cigarette, or spit in your food....the list is almost endless.
