Lab Service:
Blood Drug Testing
Dr. Bennett performs Forensic quality blood drug testing, in which:
-
Dr. Bennett photographs the person tested AND confirms all the identifiers on the Driver's License. This prevents other people taking the test for them (which happens frequently!)
-
Dr. Bennett empirically evaluates the specimen immediately to ensure the specimen is valid.
-
If these Forensic empirical tests are normal, then Dr. Bennett performs Forensic level drug testing, meaning we test at lower levels that most other labs. If the goal is to detect drugs, then why not test at the lowest level?
-
Dr. Bennett reviews all Prescriptions to determine if the findings are due to legally prescribed medication.
-
Dr. Bennett provides a comprehensive, detailed report of the findings that doesn't take a Ph.D. to decipher.
-
Dr. Bennett is available after the report is issued to explain the findings.
-
The most important parameter regarding blood drug testing is that it only tells us what drugs the person recently consumed. It is a disadvantage because recently could, for some drugs, mean only a matter of hours ago. It is an advantage in that it tells us what substance the person is currently under the influence of.
